Most of this set worked fine. However, one of the instruments was not processed properly and I could not use it for its intended purpose. The VANOS installation tool has two faster holes; one at each end so it can be secured in the two bolt holes in the valve cover. I was able to mount the latch on the passenger side, but the hole on the driver's side was drilled in the wrong place and didn't line up with the hole in the head. See photo. After I installed the camshaft positioning tool with a fastener, the holes in the VANOS assemblies lined up with the tool's positioning pins, which told me the rest of the tool was probably made accurately. But it's kind of a critical application and I expect this tool to be RIGHT. The seller suggested I modify the instrument to fit. And when they asked for a replacement, they offered to ship one from China because the units stocked at Revain might not be any better. All other tools worked as intended. So hopefully my experience was an isolated one. Apart from a manufacturing defect I was very satisfied with the set.
