2008 Corolla Installation

I've had this recording for about two weeks. After the initial setup, I decided to drive the car for four miles on back roads and four miles on freeways. The filter worked well until it ended up on the interstate; there he dropped the check engine light. Concerned, I returned home and plugged in my OBD-II reader to no avail. I think my reader might be bad. I disconnected the negative battery terminal and waited for morning. For the next four days, the machine ran flawlessly without the CEL. Then today I had to merge onto the interstate. I had to accelerate hard and the check engine caught fire again. I think the engine is too lean under these conditions. The cold air supply hose is also not long enough. Using the instructions that came with it, I can't figure out how to route the house without cutting through part of the plastic cover under the motor. In addition, the hose is located under the machine. Most likely, it will be filled with street dirt. I redirected mine to the air intake in the front bumper. The engine noise is greatly increased with this mod. Finally I hope there will be more mpg and bhp with this filter. With the above comment, I can't make a judgment on the filter at this point. I have very good mechanical skills so I don't think this is an installation issue. I will contact K&N. I will update asap.
