Robust construction. thick glass. Does the filter material really work; not sure yet. pH not checked. I will update later. Even a larger bottle still doesn't hold enough volume. No more than a water bottle. But if you want to buy this. Buy a bigger one. It's a bit bulky for what it holds. Not a fan of the external rubber grip. If I had a second chance, maybe I would get something different. Updated 11/13/19. The "unfiltered" water had a pH of 7.2. After 30 minutes in a filtered bottle, it dropped to 7.0. The pH meter was calibrated before each test run. Very disappointing for a $40 water bottle.
