Don't worry about the grill tongs
Don't worry if you really cook. They failed after two years of normal use. First the rubber pads collapsed, then the locking and hinge mechanism collapsed completely. Maybe two years seems a long time and I'd be too harsh, but be aware that the tongs I bought from a restaurant store over a decade ago have the simplest slip-lock mechanism and not all of the handles have been in service since almost 15 years. Years later with constant daily use.
