The toad shot himself the day I bought these tires :) In general, on 10/22/2022 I purchased tires Continental Ice Contact 3 (Flex Stud) 235/50 R18. Welded in Germany (see photo). Managed to ride on wet and dry asphalt. I also had a chance to ride on snow porridge in small quantities (St. Petersburg, 10/28/2022). Previously, winter tires were Nokian Hakkapeliitta 5. Summer tires this summer are Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5. I will compare them with them. The very first impression - I got a little crazy from their "noiselessness", especially on dry asphalt. It is in comparison with summer tires. With the previously used Hakka 5 (Finnish), it makes no sense even to compare in terms of noise. Approximately up to 60-70 km / h, as if he did not change shoes for the winter. Further up to 90-100 there is a slight noise. Doesn't press on the ears. It seems that these are not even spikes, but the tire itself makes a sound. Haven't accelerated faster yet. Compared to the Hakka 5 with its central rib (which has a positive effect on handling), the car steers absolutely no worse. Although I confess that there were great concerns about the pattern of separate lamellae. Compared even with summer tires, the difference in handling is not fundamental. Although I definitely noticed that it became softer. Perhaps while the temperatures are not low (less than -4 has not yet been ridden). Checked for aquaplaning in deep ruts - offset! The sidewall of the tire was about average in stiffness. Definitely not soft. For some reason, the overall width is even larger than that of summer tires, because Goodyear boldly fly into the trunk of the E83, and Conti barely shoved it. The track is not felt at all even on non-standard 405-style wheels with an IS34 offset. Although not everything is so perfect at this moment on summer Goodyears, it is tolerable, especially in comparison with the Continental ContiSportContact 5 245/50 R18 - the rutting was strong there.
