Review on Befenybay Synchronous Straighten Tensioner Creality: Achieve Perfect 3D Printing Precision by Jeffrey Sanders

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Powered by Ender 5+

They replaced some homemade Thingiverse tighteners. They are smaller and require no modifications to be used. At 5+, all three xy belt tensioners were replaced, the factory ones have a design flaw, mine began to bend at an angle after several months of operation. For 5+, the 2020 version worked unwrapped, short side and long side. The best way to install is to loosen the belt, remove one end from the bottom bracket hook, thread it back through the old tensioner, remove it, install the new one, thread the belt back over the pulley and back it down to hook bracket. Adjust the handle so the pulley is loose before attempting to hook the belt. When tightened, the pulley is supported on both sides, unlike the factory ones. I replaced the smooth pulleys with toothed pulleys, if you remove the pulley from the tensioner you won't lose two spacers, one on each side of the pulley. A drop of grease keeps them on the pulley when replacing. Eventually those tiny pulley bearings will wear out and make noise and it's time to replace them. I don't know how long they will last, on my previous car they lasted anywhere from 6 months to a year running almost 24/7. Bearings can be replaced cheaper than new pulleys. Pulleys and bearings are supplied in standard sizes, replacement parts of various qualities can be ordered from Revain.
