Replaced the ignition coils on my 2002 Toyota Corolla. They work well and are a lot cheaper than the other options. They are very easy to install. Before replacing the ignition coils, test them with a high-energy ignition coil tester, also known as an electronic ignition coil tester. There are several on Amazon for $10 to $15. To replace the coil: Remove the plastic engine cover, remove the 2*10mm nuts that secure the spark plug wire bracket to the engine and loosen the wire bracket, disconnect the plug wires from the old coils, remove the 10mm bolt securing each ignition coil to valve cover, remove coil, install in reverse order, being careful not to damage the ignition wires.
