Works great easy to install

Replaced the ignition coils on my 2002 Toyota Corolla. They work well and are a lot cheaper than the other options. They are very easy to install. Before replacing the ignition coils, test them with a high-energy ignition coil tester, also known as an electronic ignition coil tester. There are several on Amazon for $10 to $15. To replace the coil: Remove the plastic engine cover, remove the 2*10mm nuts that secure the spark plug wire bracket to the engine and loosen the wire bracket, disconnect

Great price and reliable product

Let me start by saying that I only installed them for a day. My Matrix is 11 years old and seems to be a bit lethargic lately. I changed the spark plugs and it helped a few. I've gotten the occasional misfire fault (even with good spark plugs) so considering the cost of these coils I thought it was worth a try. The car became a bit more responsive after installing the coils, allowing them to achieve the goal I had in mind. I was a little apprehensive about these reels as they were a lot cheaper

Pros
  • Replacement parts
Cons
  • Slightly dented

2003 Toyota Corolla CE Direct Ignition Coil

Similar products compatible with the 2003 Toyota Corolla Direct Ignition Coil are between $90 and $120 at retailers such as AutoZone or O'Reilly's Auto Parts. Obviously it was a different brand but since they were 1/4 to 1/3 the price I figured I'd save a dime and take a chance. My Corolla has over 100,000 miles on it and the check engine light came on about 2 weeks ago. I went to AutoZone and they said cylinders 1, 3 and 4 were leaking. They assumed it was spark plugs, wire, or an ignition…

Pros
  • Plug-In Coil
Cons
  • Not sure
