They were very difficult to install. I have a huge tool book full of tools. It doesn't require many different ones to install, but the tight spaces you have to work on the frame box make it difficult to get your hands on your back. If you have a fifth wheel, you will need a 3" or 4" grinder to cut a groove in the frame rail to install the top anchor bolt. This is required on both sides. You will need strong jacks, a floor jack and a 2x6 stack. I raised my F350 with a jack and 2x6 under the tongue. The jacks were under the edges of the hitch. The book shows racks under the axle. That's where they get involved. The installation is mainly suitable for field use. I've installed them on two trucks, a 2001 F250 and a 2016 F350 Crew Cab, both 4WD. 2001 was the most difficult year and cost me about 30 hours and a new exhaust system. The tube was cut and re-welded leaving no room for the right hand side bag assembly. It was easier in 2016 but still took about 20 hours and there was a lot of free space on the right side. If you have access to an elevator I assume the time will be shorter. After the installation everything worked great. I have an onboard compressor and will be installing it soon. And the last. I am 75 years old.
