Pop Up Outlet for Countertop - A Convenient but Flawed Solution

As someone who frequently uses their kitchen for both cooking and working from home, I was intrigued by the idea of a pop up outlet that could be discreetly hidden away when not in use. The Pop Up Socket with 3 AC Outlets and 2 USB-A & 1 USB-C Ports seemed like the perfect solution for my needs. Installation was fairly straightforward, requiring only a 3.35 inch hole to be drilled into my countertop. Once in place, the outlet popped up smoothly and provided easy access to power for all my devices. However, after using the outlet for several weeks, I began to notice some significant flaws. Firstly, the USB ports were not as powerful as I had hoped, and charging my phone often took longer than it would with a standard wall adapter. Secondly, the pop up mechanism began to feel less sturdy over time, making me worry that it might wear out or break completely. Overall, while the Pop Up Outlet for Countertop is certainly a convenient solution for those in need of extra power in their kitchen or office, the subpar performance of the USB ports and the potential longevity issues with the pop up mechanism make it difficult for me to recommend this product without reservation.

Pros
  • This pop-up power outlet is equipped with all necessary safety features to prevent damage or injury, such as overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, and short circuit protection
Cons
  • The pop up design of the outlet leaves it exposed and vulnerable to damage or spillage, especially in high-traffic areas like the kitchen or office
