Chinese language and bad smell
I also didn't know they were from China, like many other goods. The whole box is written in Chinese or a similar language. I could buy electronics from China, but no cosmetics, kitchen utensils or cleaning products. I took them out and noticed that they had an unpleasant odor, something chemical. I want to keep them in the closet for a bit to see if the smell goes away. If not, I don't use them for utensils. I might end up using them as rags. Too bad I didn't zoom in on the box, otherwise I would have seen the inscription. I just thought they could be compared to hand wipes which didn't exist back then.
