Review on πŸ”§ 65-Piece 304 Stainless Steel Adjustable Hose Clamps Kit - 8-44mm Range, Worm Gear, Glarks Assortment for Water Pipe, Plumbing, Automotive, and Mechanical Applications by Ruben Saunders

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Cheap clamps, decent quality

Edit 8/11: Also tried the clamps from the box store. Their bolts performed better, but the clips themselves actually broke (deformed "grooves") with comparable, if not less, torque. However, using a socket wrench instead of a box wrench made a *big* difference with these clamps. If you try to over-tighten I highly recommend using a socket wrench (at least 7mm metric for large clamps, not 6mm as another review states). Using a ratchet socket allowed me to tighten them tighter than box magazine clamps (which have a large screw head, 5/16" or about 8mm, so you probably can get by without the "wrong" tool or even a large flathead screwdriver) .The steel on them is actually tougher than the box store clips. As for the little screwdriver "wrench" that comes with the kit, I'd suggest just throwing it away. Original: I agree with the other reviewer ( top rating) admitting that they can't be tightened enough *maybe* if you use them on soft tubing in low pressure conditions - quite soft, and they broke off with moderate torque (didn't use a snap wrench, but I think about 15 ftlb? maybe 20 ftlb? - about the amount you need to tighten a socket or switch). And yes I used a matching metric head. Went in e to a big store to buy real clamps. I don't know what to use them for.
