The main reason I bought this is because previous reviews said it fits a little better than other hats. Although I don't have a big head, my hats are too tight. Nothing is more uncomfortable than wearing a tight-fitting hat in summer. This hat is perfect. I have a little space, but it's not so much that it's unwieldy. However, I would say that if you have a really really small head it might seem too big for you unless you have a lot of hair and don't want to wear a small bun on your head. The hat, which I love, folds in half making it perfect for stowing in a beach bag or suitcase. The edge is pretty solid all around and doesn't have any wire to distort it. This edge is strong and perfectly round. Because it can be folded, the back of the cap slopes slightly for better neck protection, but not so much that it reaches the neck/back. I love the mesh on either side of the brim and the hat is very well made. I would recommend this hat to anyone looking for a serious sun hat that is comfortable, easy to pack and well made.
