Review on Continental ContiPremiumContact 5 215/55 R17 94V summer by Janis Berzins ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Thought it would be better, but overall not bad.

In general, it fell short of expectations. I intended to use it for comfort, but I never got it. I bear some of the burden because I accepted the 215/60 because I was greedy at 215/55. Too high a profile causes it to scours and move from side to side in lengthy, fast turns on the track. Though theoretically manageable, it is incredibly painful. If you swing suddenly while still, vibrations can be felt. Not quiet, in my opinion. Not much quieter than the Gislaveds covered in snow. Though rugged, the Yokohama C-Drive is allegedly even quieter. He broke through the sidewall like many others here, but once more it was his own fault. He ran his rear wheel onto a curb that was lying on the road while swerving on the road. I considered tossing it away, but the tire shop employees assured me that I could ride (15,000 had already been completed). The remaining rubber behaves like rubber. The road maintains its normal course at medium speeds, slows down, and then begins boldly. Not even once did anything "float" in the puddles. Like many roadways, it nearly immediately gives up in murky mud.

Pros
  • There are no overt benefits. unfortunately.
Cons
  • 1. Not as quiet as claimed. 2. It is too soft, which results in rapid wear; even though the mileage is just 25000, it has already reached the marks.
