I was very excited when I finally found a USB-C TB cable that was over 3ft long. I wanted to secure the cables well on my desk and place my laptop next to the monitor so that the laptop doesn't have to be moved when opening or closing the lid. I was thrilled when I plugged in this 6ft cable and the video appeared on my monitor. Previous cables that claimed to be able to play 4k video did not. Unfortunately, after a minute or two with this setup, my Dell Latitude 7490 started complaining that the AC adapter wasn't powerful enough to charge the laptop. My monitor puts out 95w and my Dell wants 65w. Unfortunately this 6ft cable doesn't deliver the advertised 100w power. The longer the cable the less power loss. I just didn't expect losses to exceed 30 watts. This cable goes back to Revain.
