4-Port Dual DisplayPort 4k KVM Switch is the best ever 👍👍👍👍👍

Looks like this is the first review of the CKL 4-Port KVM Switch with two DisplayPort 4K 60Hz Monitors, 4 Computers x 2 KVM Monitors I recently bought two BenQ 4k monitors and needed to upgrade the CKL HDMI version to one that supports DisplayPort to run at 60Hz or higher instead of 30Hz to reach. I ordered a 2-Port Dual DisplayPort 4k@60Hz but had to return it and replace it with this one. The reason I had to return the dual port is that it only ran at 60Hz even at other resolutions like 2k and 3k and I wanted to protect my investment in the future. I was willing to pay an extra $100 for the 4-port version as it supports >60Hz for lower resolutions. The price for a 4 port dual DP was the same as one of the 4k monitors but it was worth it. In the COVID situation, I'm a WFH, so having 4 ports has made switching machines a lot easier and I don't have to constantly unplug and plug in cables that eventually break. I have 3 machines connected to a 4 port dual DP KVM and all are working after minimal troubleshooting. I have 2 MacBook Pros (Mid 2015) and a gaming PC (Win 10) with an EVGA GTX 1070 SC. KVM is generally very difficult to set up properly. Consider software, operating system, cables, GPU and all monitors. That's why I chose the CKL brand as they are the best KVMs at the best price. Win. The extensive research I did to find KVMs that would work for my needs ended up costing over $500. Anyway I had to fix one of the MB Pros as the second screen kept flickering and showing weird lines on the screen 🤦‍♂️. This was the only machine that had issues and I have the exact same Mac for work so it can't be due to Mac OS resolution scaling or a GPU issue 🤔. I had extra mini DP to DP adapters so I tried using those. Problem solved 🙌! Always check the cables and make sure you are using good quality cables when using KVM. The DP cables that come with the kit are much thicker than other DP cables I have, so they have better shielding to avoid interference. #Pros 👍- KVM with the best value for money. Cheaper than other manufacturers and works much better - quality parts. The cables are much thicker than standard DP cables. G-Sync works from PC to 4k@60Hz monitor. 4k gaming with KVM 🙌- Both mid 2015 MBPs work great and KVM does not affect resolution scaling performance. That was until I replaced the cable. #Cons 👎- My Razer DeathAdder is not compatible with Windows 10's USB mouse port. It works fine on both Macs, but it kept showing random "expose" on PC. " / Task View feature. I've also found that increasing the DPI on the mouse causes the exposure to appear more often. I'm not sure what it is, but I wish it would work since the wheel x2 [left/right] clicks, the click is a great function for switching between computers I had to switch to one of the standard USB 2.0 ports I only have 1 minus as it's a pity that the most popular gaming mouse doesn't come with KVM works but I remember all my previous KVMs never had this option .The keyboard hotkey works and it does when using the Mac Velocifire M87 mechanical keyboard The switch will also come in handy I have it under my Evo desk installed next to the height adjustment panel , keyboard) so the mouse function is not that important. I highly recommend this KVM. Make sure you have good quality cables/adapters!
