Review on ASUS VG28UQL1A 144HZ Gaming Monitor: Curved 4K Display with Flicker-Free Technology, Anti Glare Screen, and Blue Light Filter by Anthony Guthrie

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Excellent, but dims regardless of settings. Incredibly annoying.

Enabling Game Mode in Windows 10 eliminated the harsh partial lighting on the black main display. However, despite disabling any settings that offer dynamic dimming or economy mode, the display dims every few minutes and is unpredictable. There is no set time to indicate a heater problem. I'm going to ask Asus about it, given the amount of malware they've stuffed down my throat and the unnecessary crap they've built into their hardware, like the really bright red LED on my 3090ti when the system is off. I don't need to know that the power will run out when my system is off ASUS! Also, my mobo takes forever to run! With that in mind, I'm pretty sure they've made dimming a cursed feature and not the annoying bug that it is. Stay away from ASUS in the future.
