I like this stand for several reasons. This is a lightweight, durable, easy to assemble, and affordable custom mount that will stay in my garage for a long time. The key to assembling the base is to lightly tighten all the screws first before tightening them. The holes are slightly off-center, holding the legs together when separated, but perfectly aligned once you've got all the screws in. Screwing the nuts on the inside of the tube was a problem for my big hands until I slipped a piece of tape sticky side out around my index finger and then just slid the nut over the tip holding it in place . screw to thread. I put the buffer on a stand and the vibrations didn't bother the friction bolt, which didn't hold its height at all despite several hours of polishing. Yes it would be nice if the manufacturer made holes in the top tube to allow the bolt to slide to secure it at a certain height as this would actually lock the top tube in place but not slide yet so have I'm not worried about that. However, the vibrations affect the mounting plate, which feels cheap and flimsy compared to the rest of the stand. It rattles loudly no matter how hard it is twisted and it looks like it has been kinked :) since you first need to attach the tool (buffer in my case) to the plate and then attach the plate to the post with the nuts in the housing. in large wooden handles. A heavier mounting plate that attaches directly to the stand solves this problem. But it still works so I'll live with it and see how long it lasts. The only other downside I see is that the adjustable rubber feet don't have locking nuts, but that's an easy fix. Overall I like it, seems good value for money, doesn't take up as much space as a bench and I give it a 4/5 thumbs up!
