Works best in power tool parts and accessories

I needed to redo all the grout for my kitchen floor. As long as I was on my knees, I expected a raise, but I digress. I bought this joint saw and a similar Dewalt "regular" multi-purpose joint saw. I used a Dewalt Cordless 20V XR multi tool (fits great). It should be noted that I started with a Dremel brand trowel blade that I got from Home Depot and it took about 15 square feet. I bought both Dewalts here for about the same money I spent on the Dremel alone. The kitchen area was about 400 square meters. I did 80% of it with this blade. After blowing through the Dremel I switched between this and the regular Dewalt, but I used it more because the shape allowed me to cut a wider swath with each pass. My grout must have been mixed poorly when installed because I had sections that cut like butter and others cut like diamonds. In general, I was very satisfied with the execution of this work. I applied more pressure and moved slower over the hard bits and finally he pulled him out. I split the blade as others wrote towards the end of the work BUT I was clearly starting to abuse the tool. By this point I had also easily worked 20 hours and cut at least 250 square feet. I started spinning it in a grout cut groove to scrape the sides of the tile in one pass and it started splitting. I'm sure if I hadn't been more imaginative I would have made an entire kitchen with it. Now when I compare it to a regular straight blade I can't say it cuts better. Obviously it slices wider, which speeds things up a bit, but for the most part they were equal in performance. Hope that helps!
