This programming cable works very well. I used it with CHIRP. The software CD that comes with the cable is entirely in Chinese. Be careful, CHIRP does not yet have a Baofeng UV-9R in its radio that it will program. SOLUTION. Use the Baofeng GT-3WP setup and it works great. (The Baofeng GT-3WP has the same connector as the UV-9R.) Overall, it fits the connector perfectly. (Also, it doesn't come with a thumbscrew as advertised.) Otherwise, highly recommended.
