Finally my shower isn't dripping anymore! Replacing the rubber washers stopped the slow drip from my old 80's American Standard Cadet bath/shower faucet. There were some holes in the surface of the seat and I've rubbed them out a few times over the years. To be honest I didn't even know I could replace the seat until I did a little research. The seats that were in my faucet were brass so they could have been replaced sooner - these are stock American original parts. Perhaps chrome is more resistant to pitting than brass.
