Review on π Vention Monitor Connector Adapter: Seamless Computer Display Integration by Mark Kolipano
I was skeptical at first, but now I believe!
Got this adapter to connect my retro games console to my more modern display. Scan conversion and EDID conversion are top notch! In my case, the computer easily recognizes all EDIDs under Windows with an nVidia card. This adapter only supports refresh rates up to 60Hz, so you won't get high scanning speeds. It doesn't matter, but it's worth mentioning. Most importantly, this supports some of the "weird" video modes used in older DOS games! I have no issues with 320x200@60 and 720x400@59, which is great if you're playing games that use these modes. I see neither overscan nor underscan. Visual noise/garbage is also very low. Definitely worth buying!
