It will not fit automotive parts

This product has a part number for a 2003 Honda Element. I just installed a new heatsink in my element and ordered it to replace my existing thermal switch. I wanted to start over. After installing this new switch I wanted to plug it in and noticed that the plastic housing for the plug was about a tenth of an inch larger. So the connector cannot snap into place. I ended up using the old switch and o-ring from this new switch.
