I've included a photo of the same 10 gallon tank with a baby Tigerbarb (this is temporary) to show you the difference before using Algone and after 3 weeks of using a bag of Algone in a HOB filter to show (it is behind the big plant). This stuff is amazing! Of course, it's been three weeks since the diatom outbreak was brutal, to say the least, but with water changes (50% twice a week when the tank is full) and removing diatoms every time, Algone has worked wonders! The water is visibly polished and crystal clear, the water levels are consistently 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite and 0.5 nitrate, and the baby barbel are lively and lively. I am currently using Algone in my fancy 60 gallon goldfish tank as bacterial blooms (dairy water) continue. I will update here how it goes. Algone is a must for all serious aquarists!
