I installed it on the bumper of my van and use it to connect multiple outlets inside the van for 'shore power'. I used a 1.5" hole saw, although it was slightly larger than other 1.5" hole saws I've found. I also used a 1.5" threaded lock nut (you can find these in the electrical section of any hardware store). Front. The device now installed feels solid against the bumper and appears to be fully waterproof. An extension cord plugged in and the sockets inside are supplied with perfect power.
