It took me a while to trust these things. I'm good at soldering, but it's much more convenient and safer than soldering pipes with a flashlight. The reason I hesitate is because I've seen a few examples of the latest and greatest building materials. or long-term unimplemented recommendations. For example, aluminum cables that were installed in many homes in the 1960s. Or jumpers built according to the code of the time that sag over time. So the idea of putting these things behind walls where they're not easily accessible and interchangeable didn't really appeal to me. But like I said, after putting on a few, the comfort won me over. They're a little tricky to install if you can't move the pipes around a bit to make room for them, but other than that it makes the job simple and easy. So I came to my senses and started using them more.
