I have a small jewelry workshop and my eyes get tired after 10 years jewelry making. This magnifier has a good field of view. The light is powerful and can be adjusted to direct the light to the best spot. The gooseneck is easy to bend to the desired angle and the magnification is perfect. If something is not big enough, you can just use reading glasses with it. There is no loss of clarity.
