That was just right. The bendable neck requires some patience after long-term use; however, perfect lighting, magnification for what I need and a comparable price.

I can't comment on the brightness as the product did not come with a power cord. Very disappointed. After my initial review, I was contacted by Jolly Caper who was quick to offer to fix things. I was sent a new lamp and it arrived in a few days. I'm still learning with it as it's my first magnifying lamp. The moving gooseneck is nice and there is enough light for what I'm doing. I have a small jewelry workshop and my eyes get tired after 10 years jewelry making. This magnifier has a good field of view. The light is powerful and can be adjusted to direct the light to the best spot. The gooseneck is easy to bend to the desired angle and the magnification is perfect. If something is not big enough, you can just use reading glasses with it. There is no loss of clarity.
