Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Efficient Park Tool Splined Crank Puller for Smooth Crank Removal by Robert Howell

Revainrating 1 out of 5

CWP-7 is a MUCH better choice

Very poor design, welding the handle to the tool was a terrible idea. The crank in the picture is SHIMANO, the distance between the crank and the crank is about 5/16 inch, and it is compressed as it rotates to pull the crank, leaving no space to grab the crank. The welded grip also prevents it from being repositioned for the most effective mechanical advantage. The CWP-7 doesn't have any of the above disadvantages, it can be used with open end wrenches, ring spanners or adjustable wrenches and the real benefit is that it can be used with a ratchet and socket wrench which is quicker and easier.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Fits
