Push on the stud holder/flange to loosen it.
The stud holder/flange must not be installed when this product is manufactured and shipped. Most likely anyone who buys this will have to cut it to length for their application and it will be much easier to install the flange (since it only goes one way) AFTER you cut it. I realized that I had to first cut to length, then push the flange out (the screwdriver pushes it one way), and then get back to business.
