I had a very specific use for these panel covers as I live in an apartment and don't have the flexibility when it comes to touching the wiring in the apartment. All bedrooms used switch controlled outlets and were in the worst spots in each bedroom. Since I had originally planned to use smart lightbulbs and smart sockets in the apartment, light switches were not necessary and would only cause problems. Additionally, in two of the three bedrooms, these switches controlled outlets that were intended to be plugged into a television, computer, or telephone rather than the actual light. There was a traditional light switch, but this still caused problems when guests accidentally turned off the wrong switch. These cases solved my problem right away and actually work great as a kill switch when I'm away for a few days to save power. They were very easy to install and fit over my existing cases. These covers took less than 5 minutes and two screws to install.
