This paper is not suitable for watercolor and other similar media. I've tried watercolors, brush tip markers, Derwent and Inkense graphite pencils on this paper, using different types of brushes from fine detail to blurring, and found that paper pills are very bad no matter how gentle you are. The situation is made worse when you need to layer color or highlight color even when the paper dries and the result is a messy mess. You get little paper balls pretty much everywhere you apply paint/water. And although the paper is thick enough that the ink doesn't bleed through, the underside creases with heavier applications. I haven't tried acrylic or oil on this paper and don't intend to try. I decided to give it a try based on the many positive reviews, but I'm not impressed at all. I'll probably end up using it to test color samples or something.
