So I was quite happy with the system which I spent a lot of money and time installing. (I've had issues with cost and occasional unreliability.) But the SmartThings team just released an update that had me tearing my hair out. The sensors no longer work. (I had to either remove and reinstall the sensors, or remove the batteries and restart the sensors. In any case, if you're using them for remote monitoring, you'll have to drive there to reset everything.) The automation moves. slow as molasses. (If you're using this for an alarm clock or turning on a light, expect the alarm or light to come on about a minute or two after you open the door, i.e. when the sensor is working.) The app comes in an overview screen that displays that the sensor is closed (even if it is open) but when you click on another screen the sensor shows as open. Touch the overview screen but the sensor is still covered. How can the same app (presumably using the same open/closed state data) show two different device states at the same time? I'm stuck on SmartThings; Hopefully the next update will fix these issues.
