I actually tried to fix my dad's tire with a plug kit from Walmart. No bueno. The plastic handle and cheap steel made the tire difficult to puncture. It made me search for the real thing, like in a gas station garage. I found this and it's the real deal. The handle is metal and most importantly, the poker is sharp. Lubrication is also important. The $5 sets cost nothing. I now have two from this company - one for each machine. Last time it was normal but this time it has been improved.
