This starter is perfect for my LT4000 Craftsman garden tractor. The plastic gear on my old starter broke and I decided to replace the whole starter as the price for this assembly was very good. The photo shows another gear floating in the air. I thought it was just for reference but no, this unit actually came with a spare mechanism. Very pretty. Overall, installing the tool takes no more than five minutes, as the starter is delivered fully assembled. Two bolts to remove the old starter, reconnect the power supply and screw the bolts back on and it worked great. I was also lucky with the delivery as it arrived in just a few days. It's not a guarantee, but it helped me give it five stars.
