The starter actually worked better than the original. lasted 9 months. In fact it only lasted 3 1/2 months if you subtract the winter months when it was not used. I guess I'll see how good their 1 year guarantee is.

This unit is perfect for my 7kw Briggs standby generator, hence I gave 4 stars for the plastic drive gear. It has been 3 days since installation and the gearbox broke on the second day. The 2nd gear with starter also breaks down. So I remove the metal pinion gear from my original starter and put it on this new starter.

This starter is perfect for my LT4000 Craftsman garden tractor. The plastic gear on my old starter broke and I decided to replace the whole starter as the price for this assembly was very good.
