Review on ๐Ÿ”ฉ DEWALT Impact Right Angle Attachment by Jay Matlock

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Works perfectly. Shorter bits get stuck.

The first thing I did was literally trying to put a short regular screwdriver bit in and it choked it and stuck there on the magnet: I know better now it just lasted a lot longer or an extension adapter to use shorter ones. Surprised to see this as by far the most common bits are the shorter ones coupled with the fact that the device itself needs to be somewhat compact or it won't fit in the space you're using a rectangular driver adapter. first :/ I ended up pulling it out with some tiny needle nose pliers I have, but I see others get stuck and don't have a removal tool. Otherwise it works quite well. I'm just not sure if increasing the size can do anything other than make it less likely that you'll find a place to use it. I noticed that Milwaukee offers a few options that allow for both regular bits and stand alone right angle fixed drivers and lathe chucks. Overall I feel like now that I've experienced it I could upgrade to one of these. A comparable powertrain costs about the same, and again. Harder bits like dyno drivers are taken first :/

Pros
  • Drill bit
Cons
  • A bit torn
