My boyfriend and I just moved in together and it's been a learning process to say the least. Things were going smoothly until he brought over his bed pillows. His nasty, smelly, stained, "I've had these for 15 years" bed pillows. Now I'll admit to being sassy about my bedding, but this was BEYOND what I could handle. After some tense negotiation, we agreed that I would cook the pillows in the dryer to try and kill whatever lived in there and then recover them in something that would prevent any disgustingness from entering or leaving the pillows ever again. These covers were the solution. Mind you, the old covers broke and ripped when I pried them off of the pillows, and he them informed me he didn't know they were removable and had never washed him. (I should clarify that he's an amazing man, he really is. <3) These covers have been great. He doesn't complain about being sweaty, which was my primary concern. They do not crinkle like a lot of waterproof covers do, and they're very easy to wash. The only negative is that they are so textured, it takes a bit more work to get the pillow cases off of them and back on. It's a minor inconvenience, and he's the one who has to fight with them. :)
