For a fast wide angle prime lens this lens offers excellent value for money. Having done over 500 interior and exterior shots, I highly recommend it. Images are sharp up to f/2.0 and acceptable at f/1.8 on a full-frame Canon 5D camera. The possibilities of very close focusing open up interesting design possibilities. Visually, it's on par with the non-L Canon Prime lenses I own, but it's a bit sturdier in construction. Excellent pages under f/4. Tolerates the lighting well. Autofocus response time is adequate for most types of shots, but a bit slow for sports or action scenes. If wide-angle shots indoors in available lighting are your goal, this lens is worth considering in every respect.
