I was hoping that foam (neoprene) would insulate better than stuffing like in my ski gloves in really cold weather. After all, spray foam is a better home insulator than fiberglass. This order was an experiment to see if these would be good biking gloves or for walking the dogs. However, neoprene apparently has a fairly high coefficient of thermal conductivity and these did not work very well in my experiment. They did have pretty good dexterity and grip and work OK if the temperature is above 35 degrees or so.
