Full/Queen Size - a bit small for my double bed.

This bedspread is nice and good quality for the price but I don't know if it will shrink a bit after washing and drying it before putting it on the bed (which I had to do) when I put it on the bed it doesn't completely cover the sides of the mattress it just goes up to where the pillows are and I have 6 pillows (including 2 decorative ones). I'll add photos as soon as I get a chance so you have a better idea. I wanted to return the item and get a larger size but I had already washed and dried it so I didn't feel it was right. I'll keep it because I like it and I like the fact that I can wash it at home (I have a combo compact washer dryer) and thicker comforters can't be washed in these little washing machines.
