Review on 📹 Tonton 4K 8MP H.265+ 8 Channel Hybrid 5-in-1 CCTV DVR Recorder: Enhanced Security, Easy Remote Access, Smart Motion Detection, Alerts & Encryption by Richard Payne

It only comes with a quick start guide, not full instructions and the manual is in very small print. I'll have to contact support to find out how to set up recording for motion detection as it's not obvious when working with the software. I can only let it record continuously or not. So far, although there are settings for the cameras, the night pictures are much worse than my old DVR and no settings are required on this one. It also forces you to set up two passwords and screen gestures even if you don't need them. That means I have to record everything and put it on the DVR. How else could the police know who killed me? So what's so good about silly passwords and screen gestures? Really stupid to force it on me! I do not recommend this device. There must be better ones out there unless ALL software engineers are stupid! And in fact there is no mention of support in the manual, which means this device is being returned. After finding a support email with a question, they didn't reply for days so I set up a refund just to get a response. There seems to be a PDF manual which is not mentioned in the quick start guide. And since there is no model number anywhere, how can I find it on the website? Using the guide I was able to find motion detection, but just to set the alarm I had to contact support again to find out how to record only when motion was detected. I had no intention of reading that damn 66 page manual. Since I set this up for a return, I ordered another product that shipped before I heard from customer service. If it turns out to be easier to use I keep it to myself, if not. will keep this one.
