It was fitted to replace a Fluidmaster damper set which is no longer in production. The device is not very good. The amount of time it stays open is inconsistent - sometimes you get almost a full tank, sometimes less than half a tank. It doesn't matter where the "dial” is installed on it. And about one in ten times it never returns to the closed position, only floating about half an inch above the bowl entrance and the water just flows. The chain that lifts it up is the right length with the right amount of slack to allow the thing to snap properly. I wouldn't recommend it as a replacement. I'm going to Home Depot to find something better.
