I use it for my fish quarantine tank. Not a single fish comes into my DT without being treated with this drug and PraziPro. I choose 1/4 dose, every day or every other day depending on the fish. It's one of the few products known to kill cryptocaryon irritants (sometimes called "marine ichthyophthyriasis"). Other options include tank transfer, hyposaline, chloroquine phosphate or other copper based products. This copper based product is superior to others as it does not penetrate equipment and tank seals. This drug is easily removed with Seachem Cuprisorb or activated charcoal. A tip: if you have time, install a quarantine water tank from your DT. Put some kind of sponge filter on the QT and keep inoculating the bacteria for several weeks. This should create enough good bacteria to process cupramine. If you don't have enough bacteria in your QT, you're more likely to kill bacteria and release ammonia. This method works very well for me. If you must do this in a hurry, please watch your ammonia. Seachem Ammonia Alert is excellent for this purpose. It lasts a year and just hangs on a suction cup in the tank.
