These are quality parts but I found the 'pink' anodised section was a bit thick for the Daikin unit and I had to do some odd things to make it fit but apparently am i not the only one I saw that they had "smoother" devices, but they didn't seem as well built as this one. I've put them through quite a bit of abuse (I've had more than one) and they're reliable, durable and they just look cool. In any case, they close the ball valve connection well. They seal well and really allow you to swap out the valve stem without leaking vacuum or refrigerant.
