I bought these filters to try out what many consider to be the "gold standard" of HVAC filters. Well it's a joke. The first two images show hot melt drops on the paper surface of each filter. This is the side that should fit snugly against the air cleaner housing. There is no sealing here. So far it's just poor quality control. A egregious mistake is the economical approach of overlapping the cardboard frame at each of the four corners. This is an engineered leakage path that they intentionally build into each filter at each of the four corners. Every filter, every corner, every day. Trivial you say? Do they improve filtration in this model down to 0.3 microns and still have four 0.017 inch (254 micron) leak paths in each corner? Sorry, this approach is just plain wrong. m back to Nordic Pure MERV 12. Best design, best quality control, 1/3 cost and made in USA (vs Mexico for 3M).
