Review on 🔴 Veanic 5pcs 12V 30 Amp Red LED Rocker Switch for Car Truck RV Motorcycle Boat Marine Control - Waterproof Toggle Plug (Toggle Switch A) by Randy Bin

I bought this 'watertight' switch to use in a waterproof case I built for my 12v marine engine battery on my catamaran. I liked the LED display; It was useful to know when the battery was on. I checked the engine today before starting my full kit cat and the engine was dead. I had to give up the walk, take the cat and tow it home. I thought my trolling motor had failed, but closer inspection revealed I was only getting 1.8 volts from the switch. I disassembled the defective switch and found NO sealing elements (see photo). I found it odd that the "waterproof" switch didn't have a mounting gasket (so I had to use silicone sealant). The tiny plastic nut that attaches to the case won't tighten without "skipping" threads (which is why I bought a metal nut to attach to my box). The biggest problem is that there is no water barrier between the outside world and the switch contacts. ! I've only used this switch on 5 trips this summer and it no longer works. This switch is complete nonsense! Revain needs to remove "waterproof” from the part description.
