I have a brackish shrimp so I bought this to regulate the salt levels. Luckily I ate very little salt so as not to burden them. However, the readings never seemed to change in this case and I didn't want to risk the shrimp. So I took a bowl of water and measured 1.004, poured in a ton of salt, waited about 30 minutes and checked again. Shown at 1.012, left and tasted the same water and it showed 1.019 and then 1.014 and 1.016. I can say with confidence that this counter is going straight to the trash and I will be looking for a new one.
