Review on 📔 Strathmore 400 Series Visual Drawing Journal, 9x12 Medium Surface, Wire-Bound Sketchbook, 42 Sheets by Gelin Battle

I highly recommend this sketchbook for students and beginners of all ages. The first thing I liked was the cover. If you've ever had fragile art book covers, then you know that the backing wears out quickly, which can cause the album to bend as you paint. The cover of Visual Journal is printed on a sheet of paper that can be torn off to reveal two sturdy covers (front and back). You can't bend down here! The coils of wire are strong and haven't bent yet - even after putting them in my backpack. Each sheet of paper is cold pressed on the front and smoother on the back. I usually paint on the front of the page which holds the graphite well and doesn't smudge. I've also used charcoal but haven't experimented with wet media or inks yet. I will update my review when I do. All in all - a wonderful sketchbook at a great price!
