I've had a similar bedside lamp before with a pull cord to turn the light on and off. I didn't find it very comfortable and the clicking noise bothers me a bit, especially at night. I bought this and have been using it for a few weeks now. The touch feature is so cool. When I'm ready for sleep, I don't have to struggle trying to find a string to pull on. Instead, I can touch the base of the lamp anywhere, which turns off the light. I also liked the 3 different brightness levels. When I'm awake I want to turn on a lighter mode so I can read. When I'm a bit sleepy and just want to relax, I switch it to low light mode. Love it! The charging socket and the USB ports are also important to me. I would recommend this lamp to anyone who needs these three functions.
